The 2.0 TFSI would be the default choice for many. It comes with quattro as standard along with a seven-speed S tronic gearbox. However, that all costs more. An equivalent S line starts at Β£35k without any options. It's quick of course with 180PS and is around a second-and-a-half quicker from 0-62mph than the 1.4 TFSI.Overall we would say, yes! The 2.0 TFSI engine has been used in many different models in multiple continents and for many years, itβs clear it must be at least somewhat reliable. However, whether it is reliable when compared to its competition is another matter. All modern 2.0 TFSI versions have a little "improvement" - the plastic water pump. You will need to change it every time you replace the chain. The pump is not that reliable and may fail at any moment. If you see that the engine is overheating, never keep driving it. The broken pump may cause a lot of bad issues. Is a used Audi A5 coupe reliable? Ownership cost However, in late 2007 the more desirable 168bhp 1.8-litre TFSI petrol model was introduced. This was superseded in mid-2008 by a 208bhp 2.0
Much better is the semi-automatic S tronic used with the 3.0-litre V6 diesel, although most drivers will be best served by the 1.8 TFSI turbo petrol or 2.0-litre turbodiesel motors. Inside, the Audi A4 is roomier than the contemporary BMW 3 Series and solidly put together.
