Its the 8140.43 engine and the kit i purchased from ebay was listed as for the 2.8D 200 onwards 230,244 chassis. Belt was 30mm with 152 teeth and came with white markers on the belt to line up with the crank and cam timing marks so was easy enough. Kit also included tensioner pully and idler pully and was £45.00. Points. 461. Nov 21, 2019. #3. I can confirm that on my x244 2.8 JTD, the "glow plug" indicator light only illuminates very briefly. The thermal starter relay, is hidden under the large plastic cover in centre of the engine bay. Vacuum hose, small coolant hose and two M6 flanged nuts need releasing/removing for access.
William, Not sure if this is relevant to all boxes, but have heard that the best way to fill the 2.0 gearbox is through the reversing light switch on the top of the box. On the Boxer version it has a filler/level plug at the rear of the box just above the speedo sensor. I would advise caution when filling the box as if the fiat version does not

Cambelt change problems on Fiat Ducato 2.8 idtd, x230, 8140.43 engine, 2001 reg probably on 1999-2000 chassis. Had cambelt changed at garage. Starts, drives and pulls OK. No smoke. Just sounds different to pre-change. Hard to describe but burbbles under rev rather than a crisp enging note.

52 posts · Joined 2007. #3 · Jun 18, 2009. False reading from temp gauge. I had exactly this problem on my 2004 Peugeot Boxer 2.0 HiD during a trip to Italy last September. On return my local independent garage replaced the temp gauge sensor but this failed to rectify the fault.

I would suspect the boot pressure sensor is reading correctly check the boot selonoid valve and make sure the vacuum pipes are not split it sits behind the bracket behind scuttle. OP. VK9AA0.
