Unfortunately you can only play GoW 3, GOW 4 and Ragnarok fam. The PS3 was notoriously shit to develop for, so much so that not even Sony can emulate it through software on their later consoles. You can change the difficulty in God of War, so I whacked it down just to play on for a bit longer (one of the few blessings of PS Now is that, if I want to continue, the new save will be on my PS4).
Of course, I can’t talk about God of War on PC without describing its superb graphics. The original PS4 game was and is still a technical marvel and impressive to behold.
If you have PS+ membership and access to its cloud storage, you can try using that; upload from the PS4 and download to the PS5. Other than that, you could plug a USB drive into the controller charging port, manually save to that, and try to import them onto the PS5 the same way.
One of the biggest problems is that many of the HD collection PS2 series are games which were released on PS3, and this platform is unfortunately not natively playable on PS4 or PS5 without streaming. The game was designed first and foremost for PS4 even before they had a PS5 dev kit. It's a good thing they started development quickly after they launched the 1st God of War but that means their next game will be 5+ years from now as they said they didn't do much retooling for PS5 with this one.
2 and 3 are a lot alike, with 2 just having a lot less detail in the graphics and animations because of better tech in 3. The first God of War is a little more like a poor man’s Devil May Cry.
