Hello to all, I know that the 2L diesel engine is exactly the same between all three 316D, 318D and 320D models. However apart from the tune I want to know the difference between the 316D and 318D as a stage 1 tune gives about the same numbers but the 316D has a little bit less horsepower and torque than the 318D. 316D is not the same as 318

Both are 2.0 engines and therefore asking the question, as more than often across Merc, BMW and Audi, itâs just different maps, wouldnât make financial sense to BMW to have a different engine for a 318d and 320d.
