In any application where you need to enter text, the keyboard uses only in 1 language. It does not matter whether I switch the language using a special key or shortcut "shift + space". Have a tab s7 keyboard case on my tab s8. It's what Samsung sent as my pre-order bonus and it fits/works perfectly. From what I've seen tab s8 and tab s7 cases are the same. Just make sure it's the 11 inch for s7 and not the plus model.

At first it might seem obvious, but think about it. The home can be accessed through Cmd + D. Recent apps with Cmd + Tab. Whereas, with these function keys, you have to similarly use Fn + F3, or Fn + F2 instead of just being able to press "F3" (for example) to get access to the home screen.
