When this system fails to operate properly the ECM may set a code. The codes associated with this are P1253 (21) for the solenoid and P1259 (22) for the pressure switch.
35 posts · Joined 2018. #1 · Apr 5, 2018. I'm chasing down an oil leak that I though was coming from the valve cover gaskets. It looks like it might be from the gasket on the VTEC solenoid assembly. Unlike the bolts on the valve covers that automatically stop, I'm nervous that these bolts might get over-torqued (which I have a tendency to do).
